I reached out to a Builder I met a year ago at the 1Moto Show Vegas. We've kept in contact for the year and I always admired his character and his builds. He takes what would seemingly be overlooked and left in a moto graveyard or abandoned field and sees their potential, the life that still is asking to be revived. This year he and his gal are taking on 2 builds for the 1Moto Show in Portland. We spoke briefly about his project and agreed , a handmade banner would be the perfect design element to add to this submission.
A 1969 Harley Davidson golf cart — entered in the 1Moto Show in Portland, Oregon. His instructions: "Vintage '69 vibe. Rest is up to you."
This is what I made.
In this video I walk through the full process of making a custom rear bumper banner for this build — from reading the brief and working out the concept, through stencil cutting, canvas aging, hand-stamping, finishing, and shipping. The piece reads "BUILT FOR THE BACK NINE" — because a 1969 Harley Davidson golf cart with a mini bike riding in the back deserves nothing less than a flag that takes itself completely seriously.
